Senior Network Engineer


The Senior Network Engineer applies complex design principles and methodology to ensure cost effective and optimal use of resources and technology without jeopardizing network integrity. They will be responsible for technical expertise, strategic planning, and recommendations to management for new technologies and network applications in response to business needs. They perform a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation, and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. The Senior Network Engineer will lead complex network, security and telecommunications projects and ensure their timely completion. Will require on-call availability and may require working during non-business hours and on weekends. This is a fast paced and exciting position in a growing company.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for architecting, monitoring and maintaining network implementations for multi-site enterprise.
Designing and maintaining high volume leveraged data centers.
Node management, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts for projects critical to the business.
Maintaining and administering network standards, documentation, processes and procedures.
Enterprise security design, monitoring, root cause analyses and remediation.
Serve as a technical mentor to others and guide less experienced engineers and technicians in resolving complex problems.
Engage Engineering, Operations and IT teams to analyze security risks, propose mitigations and security lead improvement projects.
Some travel 10% - 20%.

Qualifications:
o Must have advance competency in routing, switching, firewall, load balancers, VPNs and MPLS.
o Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering or related field preferred.
o Six (6) or more years of experience in network engineering, architecture or systems engineering.
o Experience working with networking, telecommunications and internetworking protocols and standards.
o Experience working with designing redundant, self-healing network solutions.
o Experience working with protocols and technologies such as IP, BGP, IGMP, DNS, HTTP, etExpert in PowerShell and Active Directory

Industry/Protocol Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of the expertise behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, etc.).
Configuration and setup Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, and Security appliances.
VOIP solutions and troubleshooting.
Expert understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, remote access, SSLVP, access-control lists, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
