SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The Finance Manager -will partner with the all functional leaders & executives to achieve business goals, as well as increase the business' overall value by leading as an "active participant", influencing and guiding the accounting function at the plant.

Partner with the executive team to build, develop & execute financial & accounting strategies / processes and team that effectively meet, support and enhance the plant's objectives
Responsible for closing corporate & plant books on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Manage seasonal aspects of accounting & business workflow
Lead with a hands on approach spending quality time on the shop floor of the operation
Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and closing processes for the plant.
Serve as liaison between supervisors, staff, & leadership on financial & cost accounting matters
Develop meaningful reporting tools that serve to support & ensure positive Plant performance
Maintain open communications with all associates & supervisors to assess the needs of their departments and help the company accomplish its objectives by recommending solutions
Fully leverage systems that ensure accurate and timely reporting disciplines are in place to support the business through proactive versus reactive decisions.
Planning and analysis including preparation of budgets and development of key financial metrics
Ensure the integrity of financial reporting & just in time cost accounting metrics
Be responsible for all payroll, taxes, and accounting function for the facility.
Development of an effective internal control environment with a focus on cost accounting.
Partner with all associates to achieve results through integrity, leadership and respect
Advise management on the appropriate resolution of audit findings and the development and implementation of procedures which ensure the proper internal controls are in place to support the business

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

BS/BA in Accounting, CPA or MBA preferred but not essential
5+ years progressive financial management experience within a manufacturing environment
Database management experience is highly preferred particularly Access, excel, etc.
A leader with a proven track record of leading a financial and accounting function in a manufacturing setting focused on delivering sustainable results
Proven experience with strong Cost Accounting skills.
High level of personal integrity, ethics, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills
Service attitude thriving on change, pace, action and accountability
Experience evaluating people / talent / situations; strong "back bone" when others push back
Capacity to build and maintain constructive and informative working relationships at all levels in the organization with employees, management showing respect for others
Displays a "team player" mentality.
Broad business sense, as well as demonstrated finance & accounting-specific competencies
Strong strategic / budget development, planning, and analytical ability

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
