Industrial Controls Technician

Job Description
- Troubleshoot, repair, and contribute improvements to all in-house industrial controls, and programmable controllers.
- Perform new PLC programming for small projects (10%).
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical systems including PLC's with the use of electrical prints and ladder logic programs. (90%).
- Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components and record effects on unit performance.
- Preventative and predictive maintenance procedures especially for CNC equipment and other process-controlled equipment. This includes maintenance visual control, 5S, documentation control, one-point lessons, and other TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints swiftly and effectively.
- Ability to perform control wiring projects and draw circuit prints.
- Ability to operate CNC machines as required for maintenance and troubleshooting (G-codes, offset, home, cycle start, etc.).
- Knowledge of Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC's and drives including A/C and D/C among others, servos.
- Two-year associate degree or a completed journeyman program in a related field preferred.
- CNC experience.
- Programming experience preferred. PLC controls experience preferred.
