Summary:
This position is responsible for achieving volume financial objectives for Beef & Pork sales to WalMart/SAMS. Responsibilities include providing sales leadership direction support and information to Walmart and within Tyson Foods. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the Beef & Pork to align and execute BU and Walmart strategies with regards to seasonal trends markets and consumer purchasing. This position will work directly with various internal departments and build strong effective relationships with Walmart. This position reports to commercial business unit function, while cross-functionally working with the WMT center of excellence team. Strong communication on the overall business, and communicating effectively with the team and organization is crucial for success. Needs to manage the WMT relationship and foster ownership and transparency. Manages team with motivation, clarity on roles & responsibilities and empowers them for success. Specific responsibilities include:
Thought leadership on driving sales results internal and external. Lead and own the business and team from strategic plans to strong execution plans including forecasting and demand planning Pricing accuracy and deduction resolution and reduction Analysis and reporting utilizing Retail Link, Atlas, Tableau, Nielsen syndicated data and other sources Work with business development team on cost mitigation, agility to WMT. Drive collaboration with internal departments such as production and production planning, procurement, customer service, transportation, claims research and development, quality assurance and interaction with upper management. This leadership sales position will be responsible for having qualified and effective Team Members in place to manage the day to day activities through timely communication effective daily sales reporting activities; including forecasting promotional activities correcting out of stocks and distribution voids tracking and reporting competitive activities analyzing the category mix to plan and optimize the category performance. Also responsible for championing innovation in product process and programs through monthly quarterly and year end business reviews for the Walmart buying team and assist with the annual planning process internally. This is a multi-dimensional position in a constant state of change due to the diverse number type and spontaneity of ad hoc requests where speed accuracy multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are critical. This individual will set the standard for upholding growing and stewarding our culture. REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent.
Experience:
5
years of Beef & Pork experience preferred and or comparable perishable merchandise experience. Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Access Excel and PowerPoint. Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written skills a must. Special Skills:
Beef & Pork experience preferred and or comparable perishable merchandise experience. In-depth knowledge of production packaging and or merchandising of Beef & Pork or Fresh Meat preferred. Walmart Retail link knowledge preferred. Excellence in negotiations.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Account ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
