Reporting directly to the VP - Business Shared Services, you will define and lead the Data Management strategy to enable Tyson's data management transformation at scale. You will be responsible for all aspects of defining and advancing data governance policies and practices supporting multiple data domains at Tyson. You will bring needed expertise to develop and deliver on Data Management capabilities including master data quality, CRUD processes, Data Management systems/tools, organizational capabilities, and stewardship and governance models. You must be willing to go into a deep level of detail, while still maintaining a big-picture view to ensure alignment of people, processes and technology across Tyson. You will help build data literacy and thought leadership as we build the data management practice. You will create a strong network at senior levels through your leadership contributions and team collaborations, building the foundation for a long-term career path in Tyson.
Responsibilities:
Lead the business case requirements for an Data Management Platform to enable source system cleansing and data quality measuring and monitoring at scale across all the data domains Create ERP deployment data management capabilities to ensure legacy data meets target system quality standards Establish and manage Tyson's Data Quality Center of Excellence to provide DQ as a service to the business teams Define and lead the CRUD automation process with IT to create standardized and frictionless capabilities to deliver sustainable, relevant and timely data quality at scale Lead efforts to improve data privacy, ethics and literacy as needed across the enterprise Create the data governance framework and repository for all company master, meta, reference data and other requirements to provide context, symantics, controlled vocabulary, etc Help build and lead the short and long-term requirements to ensure MDM becomes a certified data source for all reporting/analytics/insight systems Bring industry best practice capabilities for on-going data management and governance continuous improvement Build single and multi-domain data consolidation and mastering to create competitive advantage Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred 10
years of Data Management and Governance leadership in complex, global organizations with proven, quantifiable business results Hands-on experience leading digital transformation Strong IT, data science and technical acumen 10% domestic and international travel Ability to identify, challenge and consider opportunities outside of conventional thinking to resolve problems and address gaps
Experience:
Data lifecycle management, data governance, data quality in many types of source systems including ERPs, CRMs, HR, etc., and data warehouses, lakes and other data sources Data management tools and capabilities (such as Informatica, Collibra, ML/AI, etc.) Thought leader and track record for driving a data management practice in complex organizations Strong business acumen, knowledge of economics and business models; skilled in developing business cases Well-versed in Level 1/2/3 business processes and master data domains, and be willing to go into a deep level of detail, while still maintaining a big-picture view Significant experience with Sr Executive level audiences Program management and change management to drive significant business results Familiarity with data quality methods, storage repositories and tools across a wide landscape Strong relationship building (listening) skills with ability to deliver results in a global and matrixed environment Hands-on experience in large scale change management programs.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
